A terrific year in 2007 saw Ross win twice on the Challenge Tour and gain a full card. He has started well with two top tens, at the Alfred Dunhill and Indian Masters.

A missed cut for Ross this week but he will be off to Shanghai. He remains in good spirits,

"I am ready to go low"

His early season form was excellent and he will be looking for a morale boosting effort this week before the tour heads back to mainland Europe

Ed. asked, "who is going to win The Open?"

Ross had only one answer,

"Me, me, me!"

Then having realised he hadn't actually qualified yet to play in The Open, he revised his prediction to,

"I think it might be someone quite unexpected this year"

During a break from tournament golf, Ed. asked Ross who he admired most in the world of golf and why?

Ross replied,

"I think after playing the final round with Adam Scott in Qatar where he shot 61 with 11 birdies around a course which really wasn't that easy, I admire him the most. His friendliness, personality and competitiveness were so impressive any professional golfer can only aspire to be as good as he is."
