SEVE (wonder if his dad was a golf fan?) BENSON WINS EUROPRO OPENER
Aptly named, Seve Benson won the first Europro event at Wensum Valley.
Played mostly in atrocious conditons, rookie professional Benson won a four hole play-off to claim top spot.
There were mixed fortunes for our bloggers. Piccolo and Marmion didnt make the cut, although Marmion shot 1 under in the second round (one of only 10 under par scores that day)
Colin Roope however came 11th. This is a real triumph for 'Roopedogg', as he is still recovering from a major injury.
The Sports Academy client, Tom Haylock did even better, shooting 4 under on the last day to finish 6th.
