YOUNG GUNS MAKE SOME SAND CASTLES!
Padraig Harrington - Luke Donald - Colin Montgomerie - Adam Scott - Nick Dougherty - Paul Casey - Darren Clarke - Thomas Bjorn.
No this isn't a who's who of golf; it is a list of players unable to beat Oliver Fisher and Rory McIlroy this week in the first of the 3 desert events.
Having dragged themselves away from burying each other, making sand castles and licking ice lollies, two of the young guns we are following finished tied 11th on 7 under par in a star-studded event. If it wasn't before, it is clear that these are two of the players that will be the new super heroes of world golf in the not too distant future.
Fisher was particularly impressive, finishing 2nd in greens in regulation for the event. Course management is supposed to be a challenge for young players! - apparently not so for 'The Fish!'.
Oli and Rory will be in action next week, along with Zane Scotland and Ross McGowan (two of our other young stars) and don't be surprised if these guys are featuring high again in the final standings!
