RUGBY vs FOOTBALL vs GOLF!
For all aspiring golfers, there is a message in the events of the last couple of weeks!
Compare and contrast the performances of the England football and rugby teams. See a difference? Wouldn't you like to see your soccer side have the same levels of passion and motivation as their rugby counterparts and as much as they display in club matches?
So what has this to do with golf? Quite a bit I think! Golfers can notice the levels of motivation displayed by top stars at different times. Tiger is the best example. Why doesn't he play to his peak in The Ryder Cup. For me, the truth is he isn't highly motivated at a deep level by team games, so no matter how hard he tries, he can't find his best.
The message for golfers is therefore simple - Get motivated! If you want that big win or a reduction in handicap, you need to fire yourself up. The best way? Really well though out goal setting, along with action plans. You will be amazed how much this helps.
